Targeting the Uniformed Professionals

The Bates brand is well known for its durable boots and shoes designed specifically for the uniformed professionals such as police officers and military personnels. The Bates logo needed to convey these attributes without being too specific to one profession. The colors navy blue and white plus graphic elements that suggest the nature of the users' profession were employed to build the brand.

To ensure that the final logo is right on target, a variety of strategies and designs were explored.
